Specialty Programs

Programs Built for What You're Training For.

Every Current program is private and personalized. These specialty programs give your training a focus, whether that's feeling steady on your feet again, adding power to your golf swing, building explosive strength for your sport or staying strong through pregnancy.

Balance, mobility & neuropathy

Active Aging

Feel steadier, stronger and more confident on your feet, so you can keep doing life on your terms.

Age doesn't have to mean slowing down. This program focuses on the things that keep you independent: balance, mobility, leg strength and the confidence to move without second-guessing every step.

This program is for you if

  • You've noticed you're not as steady as you used to be, or you've had a fall or a close call.
  • You live with neuropathy in your feet or legs and want to feel more secure walking.
  • Stairs, curbs, uneven ground or getting up from the floor take more thought than they used to.
  • You want to keep golfing, traveling, boating and walking the beach for years to come.

Training with neuropathy

Neuropathy is often permanent. But the muscles, ligaments and tendons around the affected area can still get stronger, and that's the key.

Think of your body like a troop. When one soldier is injured, you surround them with strong soldiers to help carry the load. We build up the support around what you can't feel as well, so the rest of your body can do more of the work.

It's exactly how our founder, Jayce, trains with his own permanent nerve damage after a spinal cord injury.

Why the water

The water supports you while we challenge your balance, so you can practice movements you might avoid on land. Movement slows down, giving you more time to react. And the water's gentle pressure and resistance give your legs and feet more feedback about where they are.

If you have neuropathy, diabetes or a history of falls, please check with your doctor before starting. Neuropathy can make it hard to feel cuts or scrapes on your feet, so we'll talk about pool shoes and foot care. Current provides fitness training, not physical therapy or medical treatment.

Build the Body Behind Your Swing

More rotation, more power and the stamina to finish all 18 holes strong.

A good swing depends on your body as much as your technique. If your hips are tight, your upper back doesn't rotate or your legs tire by the back nine, your swing pays for it. This program strengthens the muscles that power and protect your swing.

This program is for you if

  • You want more distance and a fuller, smoother turn.
  • Your back, hips or shoulders feel it after a round.
  • You lose steam on the back nine.
  • You want to keep playing well for decades, not just this season.

Why the water

Water resists you in every direction, and the faster you move, the more it pushes back. That makes it ideal for rotational, swing-pattern strength work, with less load on your back, knees and shoulders than the gym.

We train the body behind your swing. Your golf pro still handles your technique, and we're happy to work around what they're teaching you.

★★★★★

“I’d hit a ceiling on my drive distance because of my swing speed. After working with Jayce in small-group sessions with two of my friends, we’re all hitting the ball 15 to 25 yards farther. If you’re a golfer, you know that’s a huge improvement. Jayce is a golfer himself, so he truly understands what we need. I used to be tired at the turn. Now I get through 18 and could play another 9!”

Young Athletes: Explosive Strength

Jump higher, move faster and get stronger, with water taking the pounding off growing joints.

Explosive power wins in almost every sport: the first step, the jump, the tackle, the takedown. This program builds speed, power and body control through water-based plyometrics and strength work, from a coach who competed and coached at the highest levels.

Explosive jumps & boundsFirst-step quicknessLateral speedLanding & decelerationCore strength & body controlSport conditioningOff-season & in-season training

Why the water

Water lets athletes jump, bound and change direction explosively while softening every landing. Research suggests water-based plyometric training can build jumping power while reducing the impact and soreness that come with land-based jump training.

For athletes under 18, a parent or guardian's consent is required, and athletes should be cleared for sports participation by their doctor. Our training supports, and doesn't replace, their team's coaching.

Prenatal fitness

Strong Through Pregnancy

Stay active, strong and comfortable, with the water taking the weight off.

Pregnancy changes your body week by week. This program helps you keep your strength, support your back and hips, and stay active safely, in water that makes movement feel easier and cooler.

This program is for you if

  • You want to stay active but land-based workouts feel uncomfortable.
  • Your back, hips or legs are feeling the extra load.
  • You want to stay strong for delivery and recovery.
  • Your OB or midwife has cleared you for exercise.

Why the water

Buoyancy supports the extra weight of pregnancy and takes pressure off your back, hips and joints. Cool water helps keep you from overheating, and the water's support makes it easier to move with confidence as your balance changes.

Clearance from your OB or midwife is required before starting, and we follow their guidance. Sessions are adapted as your pregnancy progresses, and we avoid hot tubs and heated spas. After delivery, we can continue once your provider clears you. Current provides fitness training, not medical care.
